
Workshop “Navigating the Future: Law in the Age of AI” – 9 October 2025, Osijek

The Europa-Institut and the Faculty of Law, University of Osijek hosted a workshop exploring the intersection between artificial intelligence, law, and human rights. The event took place within the framework of the project “Human Rights and Technology: Bridging the Gap with AI Applications (HARTech)”.

- Advancing Gender Equality in EU AI Governance – Prof. Nina Gumzej, University of Zagreb
- AI in Tax Administration – Assoc. Prof. Emina Jerković, University of Osijek
- AI and VAT Compliance in the Digital Economy –Lejla Ramić, Teaching Assistant, University of Sarajevo
Experts from Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Germany engaged in lively discussions about AI liability, legal regulation, and ethical implications.
The event was financially supported by the Federal Foreign Office and DAAD.
All presentations will be published open access in the SEE Law Journal, ensuring broad accessibility of the results. The HARTech project will continue as a Global Classroom, enabling further academic collaboration and dialogue.
