Award Ceremony Villa Lessing European Prize

On 4 May 2017, the Villa Lessing - Liberal Foundation Saar awards the European Prize of the Villa Lessing for the eighth time.

Preisträger: Eleftherios Petropoulos (3. v. R.), Pieter Gryffroy (2. v. R.) & Derya Nur Kayacan (nicht im Bild) sowie Antonio Martins (1. v. R.)

For the eighth time, four former students of the Europa-Institut, section law and section economics, were awarded the "European Prize of the Villa Lessing" which is endowed with 1500 Euro each. We want to congratulate Eleftherios Petropoulos, Pieter Gryffroy and Derya Nur Kayacan from the Europa-Institut, law department as well as Antonio G. Gomes de Mello Martins from the Europa-Institut, economics department.

The award ceremony took place on 4 May 2017 at the Villa Lessing. Prof. Dr. Claudia Polzin-Haumann, Vice-president for European and international affairs at Saarland University spoke on "Lingua franca, multilingualism and international communication". Greetings were spoken by Ulf Huppert and Christian Graf Dohna, both from the Villa Lessing. The laudatory speeches were held by Prof. Dr. Andrea Gröppel-Klein as well as Prof. Dr. Marc Bungenberg.
